God or a Higher Power?

Whilst the twelve steps and twelve traditions use the words 'God' and 'He', in OA we are welcome to define 'the power greater than ourselves', however we choose. For some of us it is God, others its a Higher Power or entity, some choose Them or It. Some feel it is the power and beauty of nature, for others it is the unconditional acceptance they find in their OA group and meetings.

Therefore OA is not a religious programme following a specific religious ideology, but it is a spiritual programme.
